I have got my car PPF protected to the front end and wheel arches and then the whole body ceramic coated. Well worth doing if you want to protect your paint work. My Porsche was coated in Gtechniq which was bullet proof. After 3 years of washing the car every weekend there was not one swirl mark.....brilliant. On the Cobra I have had Xpel ceramic coating applied with the PPF. We wait to see the outcome! After this summer of washing.

I know it is not as advanced as the pro ones, but I used Graphene 303 nano spray last year.

I worked well for the season but I will need to do it again this year.

Very easy to clean the car and wheels. Only issue was painful electric shock from static electricity when applying.

Cheap, easy to apply and pretty good.

I have applied ceramic to a couple of my Porsches.  It is all in the prep.  You really need to get that paint smooth and free of any chemicals, remove swirls and get looking spot on,    Once coated you lock in anything wrong.  Easy to clean after.  I always use a bilt hamber cleansing polish as the final thing before applying the ceramic.  Gives a great shine and sets the car ready to apply.
Worth while in my opinion.
Dust free environment to apply is always difficult.  Borrow a local painters oven for the day when they aren't using

Hi Kyle,

I have been looking into ceramic coatings and also graphene which is the latest tech.
The public ones which you can purchase allows up to approx 4-5 years protection while professional ones are 7 plus years.
I have been looking at the new Gyeon mohs Evo two layer system. You need to do all the prep (Clay bar, Polish and correction)and apply the ceramic in a dust free environment not outside as some. As you don't want dust sticking to the surface. I know someone who uses this and says its been worth while keep the paintwork looking good. Personal opinion.
I usually will polish my car three or four times in a 6 months season and have used a number of waxes and spray detailing . I still like some of my old polishes Turtle wax, MER, Sonax Xtreme Brilliant Shine Detailer and will be using Bilt Hamber speed wax products this year.
Since my car is never used on salt roads and I try to avoid wet weather the benefits of a ceramic is to keep a dirt of your paintwork for protection.
I am sitting on the fence if I go down the route of a ceramic.

Hi All,

I'm looking at getting my cobra ceramic coated and was interested if anyone else had done this? Is it worth it and does it actually make a difference?
