Yeah I'll have it brought over with my engine etc :)

Thanks all for your replies.

I think I'm going to use this fan with the AK rad.

I had thought of using the Ford Taurus 2 speed fan but this is a good compromise and can be controlled by the Davies Craig controller which I'm going to use for my EWP.

I'm running an LS3 in my Gen II 2021 AK,  with a 16inch fan.

Depending on which engine you are running with, the hose sizes will vary.
I cant remember every size, but the main in an out are something like

Radiator top and bottom is 35mm OD
The S/S AK pipes are 35mm OD

The AK supplied LS hose is something like a 42mm ID.
I would suggest you check with AK first, depending on what engine set up your running with as they supply
hose kits to suit each different engine set up.

I have changed almost all of mine to silicon 38mm hose, a nice snug fit so the mikalor clamps don't need much pulling up.

I hope this helps

I do not have an AK, mine is a SRv8 and uses an SD1 rad (just the twin core version) with twin, twin speed fans with a
couling that pull the air through .
The system is controlled by a thermostat and has an override switch as back up, have used this system for over
twenty years to date and has successfully cooled the Rv8 without any issues even through some pretty hot summers .
There is also a three core version of the SD1 rad and would think that would be good for the larger block
engines .
Can't help you with sizes with regards to the AK but I'm fairly sure that they are very similar .

I'm a gen1 AK mate.... So much has changed since my build. But I run a Rover SD1 radiator which take a 16" puller.

My only advice when it comes to the fan is don't go cheap. Anyone can make a fan that spins round and offers an element of cooling as such. But you need to spend decent coin on one that spins equally as fast but pushes or pulls three times the volume of air.

These cars are great when moving and cooling is nothing to worry about what with the size of the front nose opening, but sit stationary in traffic for 30mins or more is what sorts the men from the boys.

No doubt someone will disagree but a thermostatic puller fan is the most effective and aesthetically pleasing, but i also made some classic style twin fans that are manually switch operated because they look badass!!  8)

Hi guys,

Does anyone happen to know the radiator size and the ID or pipe size of the radiator inlet/outlets for the AK radiators?

Trying to work out the biggest fan I can fit etc.

Thanks,

Chris
