Have got Falkens on mine which seem good for me. Cant really say about wet performance, but in the dry they seem to grip well enough at highish speeds. Would say mid compound.

Occasionally  get the odd snake traversing and exiting the roundabout at a feisty speed, all part of the fun, and they seem to regain grip pretty quick (Thats why I'm still here to tell tale LOL)

Other than that, will watch the thread (appreciate its an old post) with interest, as think their time (Age) may be up in next couple years

I just put 17" Vitour Formula Z tyres on my Dax. Quite impressed so far. I was sceptical given the price from North Hants Tyres are about a third of the price of premium UHP tyres. But, so far so good.

The bonus for me was that steering at low speed is so much easier than fighting with my Goodyear Eagle F1's with their very rigid sidewalls.

Hi,

I'm building an AK 427 and have selected 17" Hallibrands. AK supply Continental Sports 5 tyres, but I'm looking at other tyre options and was looking for any recommendations from you all.

Thanks in advance.
