All sorted now,
The vintage fog & reverse lamps are in place and can also be removed with ease with just a wiring grommet
that is virtually invisible .
Never bothered about these lamps before but my thoughts that the reversing lamp is useful .

Chris,

I am with you now. Yes I would of thought the wiring would be along the centre tunnel for the gearbox switch.

Hi John ,
Thanks for you reply ,
As mentioned I do have the wirring diagrams but being lazy with regards to the loom break out, there are
some diagrams that will give the lengths of the looms indicating the various break outs, my thinking is the
break out that I require to complete the circuit is somewhere in the region of the drivers seat, therefore removal
is necessary .
No problem but in my case that's going to be a bit easier when I have gearbox back in place and on four
wheels .
The sub loom is just a pair of wires from where the gearbox will be and just run through a grommet ready to connect up to where ever that may be .
Obviously no +I've at the rear lamp loom until the circuit is completed .
The plug at rear is what you mention, brown red for fog and brown green for the reversing lamps .
Regards ,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

I am little confused by your post. You have the wiring diagram but later say you don't have the schematic.

The Southern Roadcraft build manual states
"The rear loom runs from a multiplug from behind the dashboard across the right hand side where it passes down behind the door hinges and rearwards into the corner of the floor pan. It then raised up behind the right hand seat and passes through to the boot at the bottom corner of the fuel tank. The main bunch pass through the tube bonded into the rear body, to reach the left hand set of lights."

The reverse wire colour does vary a lot Green/Brown or Blue.

I would look at the gearbox wiring reverse switch which should be the ground side. You should have a 12v feed to the rear. Pull your fuse to determine this feed matches label reverse light. If you have a +12v feed at the gearbox and the switch is a pass through switch you should see a 12v feed when you short the switch. The earth will be one of the black wires or lamp to chassis. P.M. if you need a chat.

Thanks to anyone who has a clue to where the loom break out is for this.
I already have the sub loom that originates from the gearbox, it's something that I have never
been bothered about and while I have the box out would be an idear to have in place the two
wires that connect the positive switching on the box remote .
The wirring diagram shows every thing, along with the fog lamp connections, these I have found with
relative ease ,the two wires are situated behind the I P, just needs a switch .
There is also a plug that is in the boot area that has the required wirring for both the reverse and fog lamps .
The issue is I am trying not to have to tare everything up just to find the two reversing lamp wires !
If I had a schematic wirring diagram would at least be able to pin point the two wires.
The other thing that could be done if necessary is to run a dedicated ign Live to the sub loom then out
to the reverse lamp .
Thanks again If anyone has a clue with this,

Chris.
P.S .I done all this originally and can't recall where the break out is !
