On my SR with series 2 Jag steering column and centre press horn has the relay behind the dash as with the
headlamp high beam relay .
Most builds have a unique set up, my horns are just behind the rad along with two heavy duty fan relays .

Hi Chris,

You usually have two black horns mounted near the radiator one either side. With it being intermittent and both horns stop working? It will not be the horn or earth as each is independent. Only one horn would not work intermittently if you lost the feed or earth of the horn.
So I would look at the +12v feed cable from the relay or the switching side to the relay.
The horn switch on the stalk usually . Ford stalks? Some people fit modified stainless stalks?
Your relay could be on the bulkhead firewall in the engine bay side or anywhere really under the dash.

I have a DAX De Dion (2013 build) and recently the horn has become intermittent

Tried cleaning the terminals on the Horn button, and had a quick shifty around for relays that may be part of the circuit, but not found anything so far.

Anyone point me in the right direction? Or have any advice on how to find the fault.

It is assumed they would be behind the dash somewhere- wonder how i remove that?

Thanks.
