Ran into a similar issue a while back and it drove me mad for a couple of days. Definitely check the grounds/connections first before you go buying any replacement parts - nine times out of ten it's just something small shaking loose. Hope you get it sorted quickly!

Quote from: Dek on Mar 30, 2024, 06:50 PMVED (car tax) is due to increase by the RPI from April 1st. I presume this will affect Cobra owners differently but not really sure. I've got one Historic so no problem there and the Daytona first registered in 2016. Do Cobras registered after 1.4.2017 pay a higher rate as most other cars (excluding electric) do? Anyway, I was wondering whether to deSorn and tax from April or May. It seems if you apply on-line in March to start 1st April you pay 2023 rates not the increased 2024 rates. That's £325 pa for the Daytona. Anyone know the cost for post 2017 cars or is that not relevant for kit cars? Be quick if you're thinking of taxing.

Bump for 2025 for those thinking of when to deSorn. I am still confused as to what class my 2016 Cobra is in. Advice is to look at the V5 but that only gives CO%. The classes are now categorised as gm/km. Can anyone please explain the VED category for kit cars and what the 2025 cost will be? Thanks.

Yes, good call as it goes up from £325 to £345 tomorrow. Just renewed from being sorned off for winter.
