AK relays for BWM steering Colum  there are 2 types and older ones have diodes fitted.

The hazard's are on the main fuse carrier, they all go the steering Colum

This might help, information from AK.

You will see the main difference between the old and the current one is the lack of the 2 diodes and holders. These diodes are no longer available and so I've used different ones which are now within the tape of the 'longs'.
The WWI.
There is one large wiper relay module. This is unchanged and will only fit one way.
Then on yours there are the two diodes. It is critical that these are the correct way round or the WWI won't work. Look for the silver band at one end see pic 1c
There are 4 small relays. two identical relays have 4 pins, and two identical relays have 5 pins see pic 1. Make sure you put a 5 pin relay into a holder with 5 wires and a 4 pin into 4 wires!
The WWI block has two bunches of wires – 'shorts' and 'longs'. The shorts attach to plug 5 on the loom see pics 2-6 and the longs attach to the steering column.
Sorry if I sound as if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, but I hope I've covered enough to answer your questions, and probably the pics are more helpful than the narrative.

Yes i suspect Hazard wiring.
Please take pics before you attempt fix though.

This part of my video has a close up at around 40:45

Quote from: AmericanThunder on Oct 12, 2024, 09:17 PMI found the relays already, located where you said. I can't feel any clicking from any of them when the indicators are on. Are they solid state relays?
The wires on the indicator stalk are green/white for the right side, no blue.
Possible not a bmw column?
Hazard switch works on all on the left side but rear only on the right.

Been there, done that...took me weeks to solve.

My money is on faulty wiring around the hazard switch. There are quite a few wires entering an exiting that switch. Mine was a single blue one with a bad connection (my fault) causing the issue.

My suggestion: pull out the hazard switch - it may have a multiway connector on the back, so pull that off first. (..... I see on google these don't appear to come with a connector now, although mine as one). You may have to remove one of the seats and stick your had under the dash to do so. Tell your wife first, in case you get stuck with no one to rescue you...wouldn't the first time that has happened.

Push all the lucar connections to make sure they are all definitely fully home.
Reconnect and test. You may get lucky.

If no joy, make up some jumper leaders with lucar connections, and by-pass the hazard switch and see of that brings all your lights back to working status. If so, its either the switch, or the wiring associated with it.

Avoid removing any wires, without taking pics, making notes first.

Check the wiring at the connector inputs and outputs one by one using a voltmeter.

I am assuming you are using a Durrite Hazard switch like this - the diagram below may be useful if you don't have the AK wiring diagram.

The relays could be under the left side of the dash .
Mine are all there  fitted to the shuttle metal bar . Might be worth a look ,.

Also involved is the hazard switch does the right front work on the hazard switch?

Green/white wire goes to 8 pin plug under dash from hazard to indicators and jumper.

Blue/Black on BMW stalk connects to Green/White.

Russ video might help 4 mins 50 seconds shows feed cable to front indicators which

Hi,

Sorry for first post is a question and not an intro, but I've run into an issue with my neew to me Cobra.
It's an AK car, built in 2004 by someone quite methodical (borderline OCD!) judging by the folders of info that came with it.
The issue is the right front and side indicators don't work. The rear right works fine.
All left side work fine.
Done the obvious bulbs.
Earth is good, the 12v signal wire to the RF didn't look good so I have re made it.
If I feed 12v into the circuit at the RF the side indicator lights up but not the rear.
If I feed 12v into the connector on the stalk at the column the rear lights up but not the front.
If feed 12v into the connector at the column for the left side all three indicators light up.
I then ran a temporary wire from the RH rear to the RH front and they all work just fine.
So I think there must be a connector somewhere after the column connectors that splits the wires to run to the front and rear. But where would this likely be?
Is it in the birds nest under the column?
Thanks for any and all help.
