You have to replace both so don't just try one to test as it will not work. You can keep your front indicators bulbs or upgrade. I have a combination and work fine with the LED relay.

excellent. Thank you for the tip. I've now ordered a relay and some LED bulbs for the front & side.

I probably will convert the remaining indicators to LED shortly afterwards.  I've already got the Headlights converted to LED and it made the world of a difference.

Why not put led bulbs in the others? Classic Car Leds do replacemnt bulbs. Add a digital relay and you are away, everything nice and bright

From the little bit of research I've done far.
The resistors need to be run in parallel with the lights.
I haven't yet seen any information to confirm but it seems sensible to also include resistors in the brake and tail lights as they will also be LEDs.
The resistors should be mounted on something that isn't plastic which rules out mounting them to the inside of the fibreglass.  I'm looking at a PCB breadboard and mounting box that will then also keep any termination blocks safe.

Cheers,
Mark

Evening Everyone,
I bought a pair of L542 LED Brake and Indicator lights from Europaspares (code 542LEDA) a while ago . I've just started to fit them and realised that I will probable need to add a resistor somewhere in the circuit because the side and front indicator aren't LEDs.  Has anyone done this previously and maybe have any hints (resistor size for example)?

Cheers,
Mark
