The gauge wizzard is the way to go. You can even set low and empty warnings.Alarm or warning light. Also covers different gauges to different senders. There are some great videos on it on YouTube.

Ken -

I called them and provided the dimensions I wanted, which they were happy to accommodate, including the tabs for bolting down the tank.  Obviously the tank now smaller than the original

They were quite helpful, but there was a misunderstanding regarding the feed/pickup pipe inside the tank. It didn't extend to the bottom of the tank as I had assumed it would. While I didn't explicitly state this in my specifications, my drawing did show the pipe extending to the bottom. Instead, they ended the pipe at the top of the tank.

I only realised this issue after fitting the tank, connecting the pipes, and attempting to start the car. It wouldn't fire up because no fuel was being pumped to the carburettor.

When I called them about the problem, they agreed to take the tank back and correct it. I drained the fuel, returned the tank, and they fixed the issue. Once the corrected tank was reinstalled, everything worked as expected.

For your awareness, I'm using their sender unit and gauge, but I plan to replace these since the readings aren't entirely accurate. Additionally, I have a chrome bezel setup, while their gauges come with black bezels, so they don't match.

My tank capacity is 10 gallons (45 liters).

Overall, the tank is fine for the price, so I can't complain too much. Would I use them again, yes and this time ensure I check everything and not assume like I did with the pickup pipe..

 Hope this helps!

Did the standard tank from compbrake fit OK? I might replace my tank

The Pilgrim Sumo is mounted above the axle.Big price difference. Plus VAT includes a fitting kit but a fitting kit is a few brackets and bolts.

XCS do  3 tanks but you will have to look at dimensions. They are made inhouse.

Yes I was.

Just taken the tank out it was a major task had to cut it up to remove it.  I imagine the tank was fitted before the body shell was mounted. There wasn't any space allowance for the tank to be removed if needed.

Any way I will now look for options and suitable sizes to fit in it's place, so it will be easier for future removal if needed.

Thank you for the reply.

What kit manufacturer?

Are you looking at this tank ?

Made out of 3mm aluminium for extra strength and safety.

If you have a tank mounted above the rear axle it might be an option. AK and Dax have the tank below the rear boot floor and are top hung or strap supports made to specific size.

I need to replace my original fuel tank.

I was wondering if anyone used Comp Brake Motorsport tank or any other suppliers.

Thank you..
