Hi Paul,
I had a new aluminium radiator built by Coolex Heat Transfer in Nottingham a couple of years ago, brilliant job, work of art. I had them mount two 9" electric fans to the radiator at the same time, they are are the perfect fit, no air gap.

They were recommended by posters on the Old Forum.
I spoke to the boss there who took details of my engine and I sent him the old radiator for a pattern.
Basically all the inlets and outlets in the same place but now with a 50mm core.
All cool now :-)

Hi guys, thanks, I will look up Antony at Absolute Horsepower!

I think I will just get it back home, lick my wounds and have a rethink.
I am capable of doing it along with capable of making big f@ups due to lack of time, space and experience.

One day it will all be in the past, but for now its just another load of annoying stuff to try and get sorted along side everything else!

If you have no choice and have to rely on others to do the work, I'm afraid that is not going to be cheap !
The other thing you mention is that you have no space, that in my opinion is probably your worst issue .
As for time, you can and most of do find the time somewhere, I don't know how I managed that one but
I did somehow .
If your are reasonably well aquainted with doing the rebuild bits, don't let it phase you, you will defiantly
need reasonable space to work though..

Hi all,

I have had my car in a workshop for 5 months now, and it just isn't getting done.
The guy has removed the engine and sent it off to be cleaned and the lower section rebuilt.
I am getting bad feelings about this, I have had no costings, timeline etc, and it is just not feeling right!
I think I'm going to have to get a trailer and drag it out of there next week?

I could rebuild it all myself, but I just dont have the full knowkedge, space or time to do it.

I made stupid mistakes 20 yrs ago using old parts et, and now its a problem.

I need a new Ali rad and header, oil cooler pump/fan and rebuild the engine and new gearbox etc.

Is there any one down in the New forest area that rebuilds Chevy V8's etc, to get some advice or help from?
Dolphin Autos in Lymington is my next stop to see if they can help?

I just don't trust people sometimes, they just keep letting you down??
If I have to do it all myself, so be it, but I would prefer some help this time.
