About John
For many years, I was a precision measurement engineer. I’m now retired and enjoying the freedom to travel abroad, attend car shows and drive my Cobra as often as possible (weather permitting).
I’d lived with a dream of owning my own Cobra for 40 years ever since the first time I saw one as a teenager and thought it was the most beautiful sports car I’d ever seen. I was determined from that moment that I would one day drive one of my own. In 2019, my vision began to turn into reality when I took delivery of my GD Mark IV kit and started to build the car I’d always dreamt of.

I own a red Gardner Douglas GD427 Mk4 which I enjoyed building over a period of three and a half years (not an easy feat in a single garage!).
