Getting the parts isn't too bad to be fair  the green spark place I linked in about had everything available.  It looked like it be about £50 all in. 👍🏻

A company called Powerspark ignition may have what you need to make your own and they are a UK company.

It is a relatively simple job to, you will need a good set of proper spark plug crimp pliers, the most difficult part
will be sourcing the boots and the various different connectors to suit your requirements the 8mm lead should
be ok due to the fact I sure you can still buy it by the roll from someone like Rists or Lucas etc .
This won't cost too much but when you add up the boots and connectors just for your one operation it might
rack up a bit .
I'm sure you can still buy lead kits from the old style motor factors but I haven't put it to the test recently .
In various boxes of tricks I still have a few bits for making up leads but literally only a few bits .
I would need to search around to source all the required parts to be able to make a set .
If your not bothered about the cost, because it will be a lot more than buying a ready made set, then this
would be a good idea for your requirements .
The other thing is you could use boots from other leads that you may have if they can be removed without
damaging them, due to the fact most stuff these days is heat bonded into place .
Out of interest I'm going to see what's available on line ?

Afternoon all,

I have a Chevy 350 (383) lump in a Mk4 GD,  and have had some issue getting the spark plug leads to connect properly to the spar plugs,  I don't have a lot of room for maneuver around there as have a set of rams horns headers on.

I have a set of MSD HEI leads on it currently, but these have 90 degree boots on both ends,  I think I would have more success/an easier time of it with straight leads at the spark plugs. 

I've been struggling to find a set that would work hence have been thinking about making a set,  has anyone else done this? if so where did you get your parts from?
