It's just snobbery about the plate then.. could be a good saving!

I don't mind my Q plate at all really - in fact I prefer it to silly 'COB'plates or 'AC888BRA' nonsensical attempts. 👍

I do recognise that car, it looks like Steve Brown's car.  Steve has been the Cobra Club rep for East Anglia for quite a few years.  He built the car and has driven it for many years.  I don't know Steve or the car very well, having mostly met him and the car at cobra club events and Goodwood.  I've never heard of any trouble with it, and I'm sure he looked after it well.  I think it is a good honest car.

Once a Q always a Q plate. Yes it will go for less than a age related plated. It could easily go for £10k less.
Unfortunately if you end up with a Q plate from the DVLA.

The interior colour can be changed ( spray black). I would just get rid of all the green piping and green carpet. Nice engine. T10 gearbox a bit clunky but they take the power all day. Look for some wheels and fit new rubber.
2.88 will be a power lock so it has some nice bits. Power steering nice.

Over all looks good and the history. If you don't mind a Q you could be onto a nice car at a good price.

Seems quite nice, but being on a Q plate I bet its value is much lower than an age-related plate?

Personally not sure on the interior colour but otherwise seems an honest car.
