Hi Kevin, thank you for your reply.

Regarding the alternator wiring I was referring to the other end of the loom where it connects to the warning light on the dash. It is the brown and yellow wire and I have no idea what the second connector is for.

For the seats, some penny washers under the bolts should be fine.

IIRC There are 3 brown wires for the alternator. They should be fitted to a Lucas plug like this

Just a few quick questions regarding my Pilgrim build:

- When my car went for paint they removed and re-fitted the steering wheel several times and now I have come to fitting it more permanently I can't help wonder if there was a some form of washer on the bolt.  My sierra column has the bolt securing the wheel rather than a nut and all manuals I can find only refer to the nut.  Does anyone know if I need a washer and if so what kind?  standard, spring or locking washer?  Also, I can only find the torque for the nut 45 - 55 Nm is this the same for the bolt?

- The wire from the alternator on the Pilgrim wiring loom that connects to the charge warning light has a second short spare off (about 3 inches long) with a spade connector, does anyone know what this is used for?

- When bolting my seats to the floor do I need any strength rated bolts or standard bolts a large washers?

- Unfortunately when I went into the garage last night there was a puddle under the car.  Upon inspection it was break fluid that had leaked from between the master cylinder and the vacuum cylinder.  I have looked on the web and this appears to happen when there is a leak from the piston seal in the master cylinder.  I am obviously not using the car as it isn't on the road and it has stood without the brakes on for several months.  It would be great to get some advice as to what I need to do next, can I repair or will it need replacing?  I can find what I think are the right master cylinders on the web but I am not exactly sure what Ford car it came from so does anyone know where I can get a master cylinder?
