door top trim - purely for tonneau fixings???

Interesting, not seen that before.

Bit superfluous if its just for the tonneau, although it would help keep driving rain out when driving 'at pace'. I know Healey's used to have something similar for fixing side screens in position.

Just made a note to self for when I finally get my arse in gear for sidescreens for my hardtop. Thanks for posting.

It looks like overkill for the tonneau fixing, mine has no fittings on the door and it works fine even in heavy rain.
I found this car online, it has the same fitting on the door top so it looks like it was standard for Unique Autocraft

Hi - curious... is this trim (see picture) just a different way to have the tonneau fixings along the door rather than having the studs directly in the door bodywork? Or is there another purpose??

Maybe something only Unique Autocrafts have??
