Thanks again Jim  :)

I think I may have found an alternative solution

Fitting dohickey

I can cut the carb end of the cable I have, feed it all through the bolt and then fit this  8)

Hi Greg,
I used a push bike brake cable, molded barrel blob at the throttle body end and just fed the wire through the sheath all the way to the throttle pedal.

Just to follow up on this one I've finally gotten round to fitting these now.

Am very pleased with the results

They are M12 on the outer thread and 6.2mm internal id so just about perfect.

Thank you again happy Jim great shout !!

Next challenge/ learning experience is how and what to use to make off a throttle cable end as the fitting won't go through the bolt unfortunately.

Any suggestions very welcome

Cheers

Cheers kev if it was to protect that would work but I'm after straightening the angle, which I think Jim's bolts will work perfectly for.

Thanks Jim that is spot on.  Found a nice stainless cap head of the right size that should now be on its way 👍🏻

I'll pop a couple of pics up once they're installed.

Thank you

Evening all,

I'm nearly ready for IVA with my GD Mk4, as always I e got a question.

What have you all used to protect the throttle cable as it passes through a bulkhead?

I've got a standard grommet with a tail on it at the moment but this allows the cable to pass through at an angle and I'd like to support it a bit more so that it passes through normal to the bulkhead if possible.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Cheers
Greg
