Valvoline Racing 20/50 (VR1) all day long, that for my little Buic engine with hydraulic lifters .
I did use a much thinner oil for the brake in proccedure many years ago now for engine/camshaft, then used
a 15w / 50 castrol for a while until I started using the Valvoline .
Will continue so until it becomes unavailable ?
At present it available at just under Thirty Quid from a supplier down in the West Country, I'm sure you know who
I am referring to .
This is my two pennth worth, hope the O P gets something out of the posts .

Good afternoon,

My 2002 GD is coming out of winter storage and am having it serviced. It previously had the heads serviced and 10w/30 Comp cams break in oil was used. It's now done a few miles since and would like to know if anyone has a recommendation of what type of oil to use now. Many thanks.
