It's taken a while but finally got my reg through from the DVLA so another GD on the road.

All forms and infor received by the DVLA on the 17th July,  it was being processed on the 26th July and the v5c doc arrived on the 17th August.

Seems like they've got a lot going through at the moment.

Here it is ready for the road

Just in time for the silverstone classic/festival 👍🏻

Just need to sort a hood out now

Cheers

Evening all,

Sorry about the lack of updates on here,  I've been updating the facebook page I have running, (link in signature below)

But Good news  :-)

On Friday the 7th July I passed the IVA test first time round.

So just the final forms to fill in and get approved.  (brace for more questions)

But hopefully there will be another cobra on the road in a few weeks

Thank you to all for the help and answering my occasionally daft questions.

Cheers
Greg

Minor update  8)

One drivers side door card finally on.

I'm still not 100% happy with the polish on the top of the door.  But can finesse this later on.

I've also finally laid hands on the ignition switch loom connector

There's also been progress on the exhaust front. I now have a collector.

Not my handy work, I'm not even close to being this talented. I'm very lucky to work with some very talented fabricators!

Time to push on and sort the other door card and then the exhaust.

Quote from: RussHowell on Sep 05, 2022, 06:56 AMHello Austin,

Would you mind explaining where the heated seats get their power.

Do you have a spare accessory fuse or do you just splice in to a 12v somehow?

Thank you
Russ

Hi Russ,

The loom that came with the seats needs a permanent live and switched live feed which go into the relay.

I've got a switch live buss bar behind my dash which is feeding most of my dash and ancillaries.
And I'm adding a permanent live buss bar up high on the passenger side wall. (Not fitted yet but should be this week sometime hopefully

Cheers

Made a chunk of progress on the interior this weekend  8)

Got the cockpit carpets in,

Then the seat back bulkhead and tunnel leather in place

Then after a lot of faffing about the seats in for a temporary fit.  They've got to come out again for me to fitingthe heated seat wiring loom.

Couple of quick videos if they work

This is with no headers at all hence the heat wrap fabric to protect the chassis a little.
Really couldn't resist a little blip 😂

https://youtu.be/xKq_yWgETTA

This one now has a set of rams horns headers on but not connected to the side pipes (obviously)
I needed to set the idle screw properly.

(Also was just at the end of a covid lock down hence the mop of hair and matching beard 🤣)

Just a quick intro

I'm nearly there with my make Jag based version.

It's got a 1973 Chevy 350 BLock that's now a 383 hydraulic roller conversion.

The interior is here and in the process of going in.

The last big job is connecting up the exhaust headers to the side pipes.

I'll try and add a few more pictures as I go, but most of the pics so far are on Facebook (see link in my signature)

Cheers
