Im not sure if this will be of any help or not, but My LS3 runs on a Canems ECU.
Canems are very helpful and you can down the load the Canems tuner to a laptop, you can plug it in to the ECU and make as many changes to the map as you like.  Canems will also Dial in remotely to assist or load a new map.

I am running the original GM ECU but have already considered swapping it for a more "accessible" one and the Canems sequential unit with DBW looks a   good option.
However it costs quite a bit more than buying HP Tuners full editing system.

Does any one have access to HP Tuners in the midlands area or even better a setup they no longer use and would like to sell?

I need to interrogate and remap the ECU on my LS2 engine as it is running too lean.

Any help or advice or alternative even ideas would be much appreciated.
