Hi Chris,
I can recommend Hardy Engineering based at Leatherhead just off junction 9 on the M25.
I've used them to fix an oil leak on a MK3 Granada diff and a friend has had them rebuild his Jag diff for his Cobra.
Phone and speak to Bill, really nice and helpful chap, as are all the folks there.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Don

The box is in a ready state to be sent to a gearbox specialist for a strip and rebuild, at the moment l am in the process of weighing up a best solution for this .
If anyone has any recommendations will be very helpful as I am looking at as many possibilities before ultimately
jumping in with both feet .
Hopefully someone will have a NOS fifth gear lay shaft (proberbly two hopes with that one and one begins with Bob) anyway you never know .
What I am hoping is that someone on the forum has used a gearbox specialist to good effect ,
Living in hope,

Chris.

I would be thankful if anyone has any input regarding the sudden loss of drive in the 5th gear, that being an overdrive gear in this case .
The box was fully rebuilt by a good gearbox place many years ago and has not missed a beat until now with the loss of the fifth gear after doing normalish acceleration in 4th going to 5th.
All other gears work perfectly, no bulkring issue etc, always been easy to select gears hot or cold .
At present I am sitting down, waiting for things to cool of a bit before actually looking at the linkage to see
if anything has popped off (hopefully!) .
I am not scared of opening up a gearbox if need be but I don't want to carry out unessary work where possible.
Thanks in advance for any input ,

Chris.
