Door pockets and glove box

I'm going to be putting a door on my glovebox, need to make a flat edge on the bottom of the lip to fix a piano hinge on.  Then just make a door out of mdf or similar.

Hi all. Has anyone had any success putting a cover or door on the glove box hole in the dashboard? Need to tidy it up and make it a useful space. Also, has anyone found a door pocket solution - my door cards don't have door pockets and so I have absolutely no place to put anything inside the cabin. Third world problem I know but would like to do something to tidy up.
