V5 registered as a 1968 DAX Cobra (classed as an Historic Vehicle).
Ford 351 Windsor V8 (5.8ltr) dyno’d at 345bhp/401lb ft. Holley 650cfm 4-barrell carb. and Holley fuel pump. MSD ignition system.
Ford Toploader RUG AV1 gearbox with Hurst shifter. Jaguar PowrLok LSD.
The car was totally rebuilt professionally in the mid/late-nineties to a high standard, with the engine subsequently rebuilt in 2008 by Mike Huddart. Further extensive work has been carried out during my ownership (14 years), with many new parts including recent clutch, re-faced flywheel, starter motor and gear ring, refurbished gearbox (Alan Jackson, Chester), propshaft, battery, etc.
This Cobra presents and drives well, and is in excellent all-round condition. Everything works as it should, and is reliable, fast, and fun! It comes with a hood, side-screens, and tonneau cover. Tax and MoT exempt. Indicated 15,428 miles.
I’m selling because I hardly use it anymore and need the garage space.
