Here is our Northern Region Profile
Our northern region’s Facebook group is made up of UKCRC members and non-members. They being, Cobra owners and Cobra enthusiasts; and we welcome anyone who is like-minded.
Regular Club Meetups:
- Date: Usually, the second Sunday of every month, but please check our Facebook page for confirmation
- Time: 12:30pm
- Venue: The Old Mill, Wakefield Rd, Brighouse. HD6 4HA.
Calendar of Events… Our calendar of events is our group Facebook section. And as there will be so much going on in our region and beyond, this is the best place to list them; then, everyone can see what’s on the books -and the list is always current.
Any member can organise a meetup or run-out by simply posting the ‘what-and-where’ on our FB page, or by creating a more formal event via our ‘Events’ section.
I also encourage collaboration with other regions and groups, and I similarly encourage posting and publishing what we do as a group or as an individual on our FB page and within our UKCRC publication and social media outlets… If it ain’t documented, it ain’t happened.
Below are some thoughts and ideas for this year’s northern region group activities. And whilst the below is just thumbnail and example stuff, it’s just the tip-of-the-iceberg of possibilities. Moreover, as our northern region is a very big place, it’s a given that some meetup places and events are just not within striking distance for everyone. So, with that in mind it is good to have a range of options across the whole region and beyond for us to be able to pick and choose.
To set the scene, I suggest there are three categories of get-together/event types that could apply to everything we as a group or region could get involved in:
- National events: Note: Some events will be limited to UKCRC members only:
- Malvern, Newark, Silverstone, NEC, etc. I’m talking about the big stuff here. And for these types of events, we could, when necessary, work with the UKCRC events coordinator
- County Events: Note: Some events might be limited to UKCRC members only:
- These being the larger regional shows and events. And again, we could, when necessary, work with the UKCRC event coordinator and/or the relevant area rep and the lead activity member to get things done as a group or region
- Wheels and Wings days at various aerodromes or transport museums
- Chatsworth House Car Show
- Doncaster Classic Car Show
- Track Day’s
- KITFEST
- SANTA POD
- Regional/Local Events: Note: Some events might be limited to UKCRC members only:
