Welcome to the Northern Region area page… Our region covers North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Merseyside, South Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, East Riding of Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham, Tyne & Wear, and Northumberland.

Calendar of Events: Our calendar of events is on our Facebook page, and as there is so much going on in our region during the summer months, this is the best place to list them; then, everyone can see what’s on the books -and the list is always current.

Regular Club Meet-ups:
•Date: The second Sunday of every month

Collaboration: I encourage collaboration with other regions and like-minded groups, and I similarly encourage posting and publishing what we do as a group or as an individual with a story to share. Our FB page and our UKCRC magazine (Snake Torque) and social media outlets are where we post and publish what we’ve been up to…

If it ain’t documented, it ain’t happened!

Also, any member can organise a meet-up or run-out by simply posting the ‘what-and-where’ on our FB page, or by creating a more formal event via our ‘Events’ section.

Below are some things we’ve been up to, and I’ve included thoughts and ideas that members have suggested. Moreover, as our region is a very big area, it is a given that some meet-up places and events are simply not within striking distance of everyone. So, with that in mind, it is good to have a range of options across the whole region and beyond for us to pick and choose.

To set the scene, I’ve categorised our activities into three areas:
1. National events: (I’m talking about the big stuff here)
•National Kit car show Malvern and Newark, Silverstone, Goodwood, NEC, Manufacturers open days, etc.

2. County/Regional Events: (These are the larger regional shows and events)
• Wheels and Wings days at various aerodromes or transport museums
• Chatsworth House Car Show
• Doncaster Classic Car Show
• KITFEST • SANTA POD

3. Local Meet-ups, Runs-out & Events: Too many to list here. However, here are some we’ve previously done.

• A Meander around the North Yorks Moors National Park
• Blackpool Illuminations (Collaboration with the NWKCOG)

• NY500 – Rosedale (A North York Moors National Park run)
• Kinsley Park – Wensleyday Creamery – Buttertubs Pass – Tan Hill
