Title: MOT Question - Battery Inspection
Post by: markrobinson603 on Apr 01, 2024, 01:06 PM
Hi,
Mine is coming up for it's first MOT.  I was reading the online MOT manual and noticed that there is a requirement for the Battery to be inspected during the MOT.  Mine is boxed in so isn't immediately accessible without a few changes.
Has anyone else had a problem with having the Battery boxed in and not accessible during the test?

Thanks,
Mark

Its the security of the battery if not clamped down. Some now under the rear seat in BMW's . They will never check that. If the battery is loose they can fall the car.

Thanks. I had a horrible feeling that it was something that was enforced.

I had my first MOT on Friday morning  21/06/24, AK gen II, My battery is boxed in, in the boot, I made the call to remove the panel so that the MOT tester could see it, Glad I did as he did ask me where the battery was so that he could check it.
