Have you looked into a rebuild kit? If it's the rubber leaking, and your pump is a 12-801-1, you could use either a 12-811 or a 12-805, the latter being much cheaper. As I'm not sure of which pump you have, best look it up yourself, but I know I would rather use a rebuild kit,.... as I'm a bit frugal.

i have used the 12-805 kit and it has made no difference still leaking it is not leaking from the baseplate where there are 5 bolts it is leaking from a small hole below the brass insert in the base of the pump ie where the rotor and vanes are housed. i am now thinking i need a new pump probably a red top facet

Fuel pressure regulation trips a lot of people up on these builds, especially when matching electric pumps to carbs that only want 4-5 PSI. Saving this for when I have to tackle my lines!
