Title: Unknown Heater Unit Identification
Post by: CobraPaul on Feb 10, 2024, 07:42 AM
Hi all,

Is anyone able to ID this heater for me please?
I'd like to understand if the heat output and/or speed can be controlled. Currently all I have is an on/off switch.

This is fitted to a Dax Tojeiro, but to me it doesn't look like the Dax specific part nor a Triumph Spitfire heater.

Thanks

The set up for my Southern Roadcraft is proberbly the same as you have with just a switch for one
speed .
The fan and heater matrix are suppose to be from the early mini's, to date I only have the on / off
(one speed) switch fitted and wired into the dash just waiting to put the heater matrix assembly in place.
It's not a difficult job to complete but I up to now it's not something that I have required .
I have looked on line and there are a few options for our cobs, may be I fit one now I am starting to
get older !

So, something like this might be an easy upgrade to get a variable speed at least..

Having a separate on/off switch and a speed adjustment could be useful. Obviously potentiometer knob could be changed for something more in keeping with the car interior.
