Title: What paperwork to take to IVA test
Post by: Austin21 on Jun 29, 2023, 01:21 PM
Good afternoon all,

I've got my IVA on the 7th July, and as normal am pretty much in full panic mode 🤦🏼♂️

Question

What paperwork should/do I need to take with me?

The car is going up to Andy at GD for a check over first and then on with him to Derby for the test.

I'm going up separately so will pack a boot full of odds and sods that may help but wasn't sure paperwork wise other than my engine age cert 👍🏻

Cheers
Greg

Take your folder full of receipts.
Also your engine age verification certificate.

.... and make sure you know where the engine number is stamped on the block so it can be cross-referenced with your age-related evidence. ..... just speaking from experience ;)  :-[

Just to add some Infor for anyone else in the future.

Not sure if it's how well known Andy is or not but didn't need to take anything with me.

They had the copy of the engine age cert on file and I could show the tester where the stamp ID was ( well a photo of it as it's burrier under the alternator.

As said above it's a good idea to have your receipts and engine age cert with you just in case.

Just waiting for my V5 now then on the road finally  ;D
