Is anyone else experiencing the following........
With the reduction in road surface quality and basically being vibrated to death in my car (AK) on a general journey (40mins) local A roads, my passenger door lock will pop open once or twice!!
On a motorway or clean A road no problem.
THe locks and keep were all installed as instructed and as you all know there appears to be no adjustment for making the lock enter the keep deeper than the 1mm it may currently be in when shut.
Any ideas? the only one i have, is to extent the slot, the lock release arm slides in to give another 1mm of movement into the keep.....that also means grinding the chrome cover and possibly having to find a new spring....
any other thoughts gratefully received.

Idle thoughts:
- assuming they are chrome MG items (so not a Pilgrim or GD car), then how old are they?
- have you got one of the old style 'wobbly ' ladder frame chasses that doesnt have a backbone or other re-enforcement?
- have you tried adding some rubber door trim - the 'pipe' part that presses againt the door might help keep it under tension.

Kevin they are brand new S&J when i built the AK car in 2021.....it is the gen 2 chassis and so there is a little flex.....i have applied a harder door seal to apply more tension but i guess the circa <1mm of grip it has is not enough.....

I think you need some tension on the lock so some rubber strip pushing the door against door shut should put tension on the lock which should stop it popping. With little tension it can move on the hinges up and down which will not be chassis flex as its Gen 2. My Dax with no back bone does have chassis flex and the doors remain shut with solid click and a push shut fit onto the rubber seals.
This is a common problem and it is because it is very hard to have an exactly lined up lock so it is only catching on the lock by its fingertips. Any bump will make it pop off. Also the rubber trim is trying to push it off as well.
The fix is to slightly loosen the 4 screws holding the lock to the door. Only a little is required, maybe half a turn (experiment) and this will allow the lock to move and snug on the catch a bit better. Certainly worked on a couple of my friends.
You could even try retightening a little once its found it better position,
