Afternoon All,
I'm starting to get my head around a few jobs i want to do to the car and one of them is to replace the Ford Sierra Steering Column shroud with something that looks a little less plasticy. I had the excellent idea to buy a cheap one from eb*y that i can use a donor to adapt / cover without ruining the existing shroud that's fitted to the car.
I had a rather sharp shock when i saw the prices of 2nd hand ones on eb*y (circa £100).
Cutting the chase, does anyone have an STL file so i can see if it's worth getting a company to 3d print one?
I've found an STL file for the mk2 shroud but that won't be much use unfortunately.
Thanks,
Mark
When making the new dashboard for mine, I did away with the sierra shroud. I also got rid of the lights and wiper switch as moved them to switches on the dash. I made a new shroud out of pvc pipe and covered with leather.
I cant work out how to imbed an image so hope you can access this link:

That's the best looking piece of PVC pipe I've ever seen, Flykilla! :)
