Over time, I've been pulling together the parts to retrofit Corsa B Power Steering to my Dax. Rather stupidly, I didn't save copies of the guidance from the old forum. I'm relatively comfortable with the mechanical side of fitting it, but I'm a little unsure of the electrics. In particular the power connections needed and how any relays are needed in the circuits. Does anyone have any guidance?

Corsa B is very similar to Corsa C (I have B), and this is an excellent guide: http://www.super7thheaven.co.uk/corsa-c-electric-power-steering-epas/
The big fat power feeds should be permanent live (no relays) with a 50A fuse (6mm or larger wire for both +12v and ground) - that's the blue plug.
The green plug (the other two pin socket on the ECU, outermost socket) goes from ECU to the column motor.
Don't get the cheap speed & RPM simulators (which are just a 555 timer and a potentiometer, basically), try to find one that takes actual pulses from your speedo sensor. I'll see if I can find the paperwork for mine.

Well .. I just went through a folder about 3" thick filled with receipts (dear god, I better never add those up or this will be the first £100k Dax build!) and didn't find the receipt & manual for the controller, so I'll look in the garage later.

It was the power connections i was unsure of.
I've got one of the GPS based speed sensitive controllers which I'm hoping will work better than one of the overpriced potentiometers.
I've also got the same mount as yourself for the ECU.

The only bad thing about that mount is that if you mount the ECU upside down, the O-rigns will eventually perish and you'll wonder why it has landed on your right leg.
Or.. so I'm told. ;D
This might sound like a slightly niche question but does anyone know where it's possible to buy the connectors for the Ignition switch from? I finally got round to looking at the power steering today and noticed that not only was i missing the Corsa B ignition switch from the ignition barrel but also the lead / harness that attaches to it. It was fairly easy to find a new switch but i'm having a little trouble tracking down the type of connectors used to connect the wiring to the switch.

p.s. In even less positive news, I looked in the boot and saw that a mouse had made a home in it. Unfortunately, it had used some of the soft top as a source for its bedding. Can't say I'm particularly impressed at having to order a new soft top because the old one has holes in it.

I seem to recall most take out the Corsa key ignition switch and remove the steering lock. I had the key and lock with harness on mine but was looking to remove these on install. The reason was I did not want to worry about an additional key which could be removed and my steering would be locked stranding me. My start key is far away from the Corsa column key so I would have to remove from my bunch of keys. So it would cause me more issues.
Might save you lots of pain.
I might (might!) still have the Corsa ignition barrel (inc. key) with wiring tails on it, if that would be any help?
As Jon says, I ditched the steering lock, barrel etc and went with a dash mounted ignition key (and immobiliser for IVA).
