Title: Electric Power steering Wiring
Post by: Gazc2 on Jan 20, 2026, 11:00 PM
So I have an AK with a Saxo electric power steering pump, where is the best place to feed this from as there is no provision within the loom.

any help appreciated

I ran a feed from the alternator onto the bulkhead through a large fuse, into an ignition switched relay. Then I ran the output to the pump which I mounted in the LHS front of the engine bay, above the power steering rack.
I hope that makes sense...

Thanks for the input I was contemplating taking the feed from the starter or Alternator as its a fairly meaty cable on the pump the alternator is nice and close so will make up a little loom to get the relay hidden.

cheers
