Hi gents
Struggling to buy rear wheel arch spats.
Any ideas, ideally polished stainless steel.

What do you mean spats ? To make the arches wider or stop stone chips ?
Maybe using the wrong terminology here! They are triangular polished panels that go on the front part of the rear wheel arches. They are used for decorative purposes as well as stopping stone chipping in this area?

Usually called stone guards rather than spats (which typically people use to refer to little pieces which go under the front corners ahead of the front wheels to deflect airflow) - they seem to be out of stock everywhere..
Europa don't have any listed (that I can see), these folks are out of stock - https://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/products/cobra-replica-rear-wheel-arch-spats (ironically they call them spats in the URL but Stone Guards on the product page!)
I think they're also different shapes for different replicas so you might have the best luck going to your kit manufacturer?

This might be useful to with regards to stainless steel stone guards .
My Southern Roadcraft with the 427 bodyshell ( think the g r p shells were sourced from the original Pilgrims back
in the day ).
I may have purchased these along with most of my stainless steel bright work from S R, these were the only items that were straight and simple aluminium, the thought being that aly is easier to work / shape and they stiill polish nice with minimum effort, stainless stuff even less !
Will now try to find my records of purchase of these items, most of my purchases were from S R .
At the time I think the stainless versions were considered more hassle than they were worth ?
Now is probably a completely different ball game with all the laser tech stuff, in theory they could be made to
fit like a glove without costing the earth, stainless is not that forgiving, therefore difficult to tweak if required.

Not that's any use to you but have a look at Pilgim, AKs etc, etc , they are still open for business I believe?

Appreciated. I just checked Pilgrims website and they just say they are 'on back order'.
But I will drop them an email and see what I can dig up?

For consideration:
These always require some fettling to make them fit nicely.
Transparent 'wrap' , same shape as the 'spats' is an alternative: requires professional application, this is what I plan to do once I have paint on my car.
